fromBeyondtheGrid is dedicated to living the green life.

The purpose is to chronicle our experience as we embark on a lifestyle of voluntary simplicity.  We are two sixty-something zoomers who have divested our comfortable urban lifestyle for one based on self-sufficiency, sustainability, simplicity and solar.  Will we survive and thrive? Stay tuned.

You do not need to be a member in order to view site content or add comments. If you want to be notified of new posts or new comments, you will have to register. If you do register, you can also create your own content as long as it's related to living the green life.

For those who like to know what's under the hood, the site is built on a platform called Drupal, which is a set of powerful open-source web development tools. Open source means it's maintained by a community of volunteers which suits our philosophy of free and open.

About Advertising on this Site

You will see some advertising on this site.  The purpose is to help defray some of the cost of running a website ie. internet connection, software, hosting, and if we made a few bucks beyond that, it would be nice too.  We try to find products and services that green and useful for anyone living a sustainable lifestyle.  The acid test is, if we would buy it, we'll advertise it.
