Root Cellar Poll Results
The results are in. Our root cellar poll asking the question: Where should the root cellar go? was set to run for a week so I thought I would post the results. There were 18 respondents and, of those, 15 votes or 83% went to Diane. Her position is that the root cellar should be built under or attached to the house. I got 3 votes or 17% from those of you who thought it best to build the root cellar into the side of a hill. There was an 'other' choice in case somebody had a better idea than either of ours but nobody selected that one.
Diane vs Warren
Diane and I have come to somewhat of an impasse. As happens in any partnership, there are times of disagreement. Most often we find a way to compromise and each of us get something our way. We usually begin by discussing an issue, each assuming the other will naturally agree with their version based on its obvious merits. When this does not happen the discussion begins to generate heat and, when it becomes obvious that it is generating more heat than light, we change the subject. When next we broach the subject, calmer heads prevail and the negotiations begin in earnest.
