This is a KISS (keep it simple silly) wind turbine constructed out of materials you can find at the hardware store and a found DC motor. Only 4 tools required to build it plus a small welding job. ... Here is the completed wind turbine mounted on the picnic table..

Going to town has its obstacles no matter where you live but out here off the grid we have some unique difficulties. This one is called 'wind shear'.
